Hello, Guys and Girls! This is Daffa, I'm back in 2014 and this will be my first post in 2014.
Anyway, I read a short story. The title is 'The Lottery' by Shirley Jackson. The story was wrote in 1948. So the story tells about a tradition of lottery in a village. But anyone who wins the lottery in the story, he or she will not get\ money, treasure, nor any precious thing. They will die, as a sacrifice from the villagers to God, so they will harvest more corn because they believe that the soul will be in the harvest. The lottery winner will be killed by stones that the villagers throw to him or her. My thoughts on the story; The story was quite exciting at first because I thought that the story was telling about a lottery in terms of gambling. But when I read, the ending was death.
